Price is right but the property needs a renovation. We understand renovation is expensive, but, PLEASE at least consider these two changes ASAP: 1 - Fix/update the breakfast area. It looks like it is from 1950s. A facelift of that room will help a bit. 2. Consider changing the cleaning products you use to clean the facility. It really smells terrible. When you go to the floor P for breakfast, the smell is overwhelming. And, I am pretty sure it is the cleaning product. This is such a simple change to use a different cleaning product, and could help. 3. Please get an agreement with a nearby bike shop, so we can rent bikes. I tired to use those blue bikes, but they are meant for locals and can't use the app unless you have a Spanish ID number. Making it easier to rent bikes would be nice. Thank You

It's a really good place to stay. It's close from many restaurants and most of the important parts of BCN. Public transportation is around and walkable too

Hotel staff were great. Stored bags with them as we were an early arrival. On returning to the hotel later, they had moved our bags safely to our room ready. Breakfast was good. Nice selection and kept replenished. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is great. Rooms comfy and spacious. Would say not updated but that really didn’t make any difference to the stay. Aircon is available if needed

Perfect location on a budget
This was the perfect hotel for me. My room literally had a balcony overlooking Las Ramblas, but thanks to double glazing and blackout curtains, noise and light were not a problem. The self service breakfast had everything, including Serrano ham and fresh pineapple. Staff were extremely helpful. I love how a formerly “grand” hotel has been modified so that people on ordinary budgets can enjoy its ideal location and historic detail (like the stained glass windows on the stair landings). I would definitely go back!

Seconds fun the Placa Reial, this is not a quiet hotel, but if you're a sound sleeper, it's a great choice. Good rooms, clean bathroom and lovely staff.
