Lovely garden and wonderful access to hagley park and botanic gardens; easy flat walk to city centre. Lovely walk from hotel to Mona Vale stately home and garden and to Riccarton House and bush sanctuary. Really lovely staff and very pleasant , relaxed and respectful atmosphere. It was a real treat.

This hotel is beautiful and very close to the park. It is about a 30minute walk thru the park to the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There isn’t a lot of places to eat close by, we were prepared to walk to the city centre for meals. The botanical gardens in the park were spectacular.

Beautifully presented, clean hotel with extremely helpful staff. Lovely choice of breakfasts each morning. 20 minute walk through the park to reach the town centre but worth the walk for the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Throughly enjoyed the Tram Ride, Gondola for breathtaking views and punting.
