Great quiet condo but nothing in room to allow you to have food in room. We bought some disposable plates cutlery etc. This property is actually part of Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort. You actually check in at Outrigger lobby and get a bracelet to access your room. You have to show them your Blue Jade rental agreement. Owner does not seem to allow early or late access, we paid for an extra day in order to use the pool etc up to our late plane departure.
You have to haul your garbage to a dumpster. We laundered our clothes the towels in a first floor outrigger laundry facility in building one. Outrigger does not housekeeping the room. Blue Jade has their own housekeeping service which is very pricy. ( they clean after you check out. Outrigger provide beach towels for use on resort but not off. We bought a couple of towels at Walmart for excursions and beach visits.
Food and beverages very expensive at outrigger but food is fine. We chose to buy food and our own alcohol to reduce costs. ( cannot take your own drinks to pool. There is a lovely poolside cabana to get drinks and short order food.
Lots of young families and children using pool etc. very child friendly.
The Kauai Beach adjacent the resort is lovely but not great for swimming or snorkelling. On some day’s excellent fit boogie boarding. Nice swimming and snorkelling area for kids at Lidgate and Poipu Beaches.
Costco Safeway and Walmart close by in Lihue and Kapaa.You need a vehicle to get around. 35 US for car parking
