How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Medjugorje
If you like the thought of spending more time at the airport restaurants and less time at the security checkpoint on your way to Medjugorje, follow these suggestions:

  • Be sure you know the location of your boarding pass and passport. You don’t want to hold up the line when you’re asked to present them.
  • Coins, belts and mobile phones should be put in a bin for X-raying. If you enter the body scanner with any of these items, you’ll be asked to turn back and remove them.
  • Everyday electronics such as laptops, tablets and phones need to be put through the X-ray machine separately. Make sure they’re easily accessible.
  • Hand cream, toothpaste and other toiletry items in liquid, gel or cream form need to be stored in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters). They also need to fit in a 1-quart (1-liter) clear resealable bag.
  • Untie your shoelaces in preparation for entering the body scanner. Depending on what sort of shoes you’ve got on, security may instruct you to take them off.
  • Stash any pocketknives or other dangerous items inside your checked luggage. Security personnel don’t allow such things in carry-on baggage.
