Excellent hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant,coffee shop & spa in the hotel. Shops near by & tube station across the road. By a busy road but we didn’t hear anything.

Park Plaza London Wateerloo - Fantastic
What an excellent Hotel with great helpful staff. We had our 2 grandson's with us and you can imagine their faces where we were looking down on Waterloo station with it's many trains. Soundproofed rooms too so all the fun of the trains and virtually no noise. Fantastic.

Disappointing
I was a little disappointed. I'd booked a superior room but this appears to be their most basic room. There was effectively no window in our room, so no natural light. The lights in the room could only be set to full, mood or off. Really difficult to only light part of the room therefore. TV was damaged and kept turning itself off. I was also disappointed with the sound-proofing. I could hear everyone who passed the room chatting and there were lots of (what I can only assume were pipes for the water/heating system) noises both late into the night and early morning (the morning one woke me bolt upright at 5.30am) On the flip side, the bed was incredibly comfortable and we appteciated the complimentary bottled water. Restaurant food and service was excellent and the housekeeping staff did a very good job.

Nice room. The hotel was in a great location. Walkable to many major sites but also basically across the street from a train station and near many bus stops. I would stay here again on future visits.

Staff were lovley and it was a smooth check in/out. Such a shame about the condition of the hotel. Our room we were given the bathroom door was broken and the slats of the pullout bed were broken so you would just dip straight through to the floor. 3 of us stayed (I king bed and 1 pull out bed). After notifying reception we were offered a new room but it wasn't prepared and only had 1 king bed. As it was very late at night we took it to save sleeping on a broken bed. Being close to tears because I was just so tired and slightly fed up running back and forth to reception to chase up the bedding and for help to pull out the additional bed the housekeeping finally arrived at half midnight. I did cross another couple in the reception who were having a similar problem. Apart from the room, the stress and lack of sleep and slight embarrassment as I bought the stay as a belated Xmas gift and reunion as I work abroad. .. everything else was lovley. Hotel breakfast was delicious and the staff we spoke to were lovley. Shame that the little hiccup like the rooms not being checked before hand put a slight downer on what was supposed to be a special occasion and nothing to recompense the hassle. Shame especially for the price. If it wasn't for that I would have given a very different review.
