The main advantage of this hotel is the location. It’s a prime location and basically that’s what you are paying for.
That being said, read the description very carefully before booking. They advertise a zen atmosphere, which means no tv and no windows, which we noted. However, it also means you don’t have a closet or a dresser or a fridge or coffee maker, or any table or chairs. The only place you can put your stuff down is the ledge above the bed. It also means you’re either sitting on the floor beside your luggage or sitting in bed.
They market their rooms as soundproof, but we could definitely hear people stomping around in the hallway and on the floor above us.
Don’t expect much in terms of toiletries. They offer body wash, shampoo and hand soap. Our luggage got lost and we had to go out and buy additional toiletries. Not the hotel’s fault, of course, but when we tried to rent a hair dryer, they tried to charge £10 PER 24 HOURS. That would have been £60 for our 6 night stay. Instead I went across the street to buy a £12 hair dryer from Boots. I asked if they had any travel adapters to rent since ours was MIA, and they tried to sell me one for £9. I instead picked it up at Tesco for £3.50.
We read about their early check in fees, which we declined to opt into. However, we wanted to see if they could hold our luggage for 3 hours until check in, and yes of course for £15. They also only clean your room once every 4 nights or you pay extra. Buyer beware.
