The property itself is very nice. The construction next door was a surprise and made things not so nice. The rooms facing the construction should be given a discount and made clear when booking that that is the view/noise you will get. Beach is very “Shelly”. The beaches down from the resort are much better so that’s where we went for the ocean swims. The food options here for all meals are not great. Not only that but the food service for dinners was very slow. The only place for breakfast has workers camped out in front of it asking you to sit through their rewards presentation. Not the hassle I want while on vacation. Overall it wasn’t a terrible trip, but it’s not at the level of the Excellence brand of resorts we have stayed at previously. This is more of heads up as I cannot be upset about this, but the English is not very good here. It lead to confusion multiple times.

Lobby was beautiful and smelled incredible. Tierra Suite was nice but room smelled like mildew the whole time, the addressed by spraying some stuff third day. property next it the suites was under construction which led to jack hammering noise whole stay.

The swim up room with jacuzzi is a lie ! It’s a jacuzzi, it’s the same share water as the pool. We didn’t use it and I didn’t see anyone using theirs as well. You’re better off booking a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor where you actually have a warm water jacuzzi. There’s someone on site that sells excursions packages, who lied to us, we got to the location and demanded to go back to hotel right away. Went back and also demanded for our money back, which we got it on the spot. That took about 2.5 hours out of our day. We were told that we will go on a party boat and told us everything we wanted to hear. When we arrived, I noticed that we were waiting to get on a boat with kids. We inquired about the details, that’s when we found out, adult party boat was later on that day. The party boat we were about to get on was a family party boat. We made it very clear that we didn’t want to party with kids and wanted to go back to our hotel. The sells rep said to us repeatedly that it’s an adult event. Of course when we got back to the hotel, he didn’t remember saying that, but took full accountability for his mistake and gave us a refund. The buffet food, omg ! Terrible ! Everyday ! Not to mentioned the females staff hated me. One day this other couple saw how I was being treated and confronted the staff, I was happy someone else on the resort noticed the mistreatment and spoke up for me. They made me leave to go change my outfit when literally everyone was seen wearing the same thing.
